Yoga with christine

Christine is a certified 200-hour registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance.  She received her training through the Deep Yoga School of Healing Arts.  She has taught yoga at EF International Language School, Ginseng Yoga, Vara Healing Arts, Generation Yoga and privately.  Christine's teaching style is alignment-based with a strong meditation/philosophy-orientation.  She will often chant during Savasana and her sequences have a playful quality.  She always mixes a little sweat with lots of breath. Her classes are great for beginners and those that are seeking less intensity/low impact.

She is the founder of a Facebook forum to connect Filipino-heritage yoga devotees called "PYN-Pilipino Yoga Network" and has been developing an approach to yoga ("Kapwa Yoga") inspired by Philippine psychology and Filipino indigenous wisdom.

Christine offers live music for yoga and has been a guest performer at several studios across the country.  Her music has also been featured on "Yoga Chat with the Accidental Yogist" and "Sacred Mondays with Mystic Pete".

She is also a conscious/new age writer and has been published in LA Yoga Magazine and Namaskar Magazine.

This classes offers basic postures with a slow pace and guided breath practices. This is an ideal class to work on alignment, learn relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with doing yoga while building strength and flexibility.

This classes offers basic postures with a slow pace and guided breath practices. This is an ideal class to work on alignment and learn relaxation techniques.  We use longer holds in this class to release tension and prepare the body for sleep.

vinyin 1/2

This class mixes fun movement with more power-based poses.  The Vinyasa/flow aspect of this class is done in a Yin/slow pace to increase mindfulness.  This is Christine's signature class with strong alignment techniques and self-massage.
