Day 15 of 108. It's actually going pretty strong. I've stayed true to my plan and I'm surprised at how much my body is responding. I don't drink nearly as much water as is recommended, so I need to work on that. I got quite weak during week 1 and 2...but...I have energy now! It started yesterday. Took my first yoga class since I started my plan last night. It was a challenge to get through because I have a janky knee at present and pretty much no upper body strength, but I got a jolt of energy afterwards and ended up jogging around a bit with our doggie afterwards. That was fun. I've actually taught 3 yoga classes since I started my plan and will be teaching another this coming Sunday. I did my yoga teacher training in 2010 and 2013 and have been teaching super sporadically since then - nothing consistent at all - although I've been doing music for lots of yoga classes since then. This time is so interesting.
I'm also sticking with not weighing myself and I feel quite content in that. I'm just not worried about it. I know I'm losing weight, I know how I feel and I know how I'd like to look. The ego/vain part of me is a bit impatient. In general, my skin and face looks a lot clearer and I'm actually down a pant size. There are still items in my closet that are tight, though, and I'm definitely not over the "obesity" hump. It takes a while even if you're on the fast track.
Anywho, I have decided to take the plunge and post progress photos. Here's me before I started my program on November 4 and just a couple of days ago. The latter photo has me in pants that are a whole size down from what I was wearing in the earlier photo.
No one can really tell, at this point, that I've shed some weight, but that's okay. It's always like that at first. I look forward to the day, though, when it's noticeable. I look forward to the day when folks are saying, "oh my gosh, you're tiny" (that happened once). I look forward to the day when I'm sporting a tank and shorts and turning heads. I look forward to the day when I'm in a bikini...muah ha ha!
